Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic EastGen will be unable to conduct delegate elections in the usual manner. We have been informed by our legal counsel that a “Special Rules During Emergency” was added to the Corporations Act to allow for more flexible meeting rules and alternate means of elections during the pandemic. Accordingly, the EastGen Board of Directors have passed a resolution approving that both director and delegate elections be held via mail-in ballot. Virtual Zone meetings will be held for EastGen’s entire service area (except for the Wellington and Waterloo area) as we won’t be able to conduct our typical annual county zone hall & barn meetings during the pandemic. These virtual meetings will not allow us to conduct proper delegate elections therefore as stated above they will be held by mail-in ballot.
